For the preventive maintenance of the VCB following points needs to be taken care of:-
Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB)
1. Checking of ON/OFF operation.
2. Checking of Vacuum interrupter.
3. Cleaning and providing lubricants on movable mechanical parts.
4. Testing of relays through secondary injections if required.
5. Tripping, testing of VCB, through over current and earth fault relay if required.
6. Testing of auxiliary relays if required.
7. Tripping of VCB through Buckhloz Relay/OTI/WTI if required.
8. Tripping of VCB through primary injection if required.
9. Testing of CT’s, through primary Injection kit.
10. Testing of PT.
