Standard  Operating Procedure- Transformer

Switching "ON" of Transformer

Check and ensure the protective relays (Over current,Earth fault,Earth Leakage Over/Under Voltage etc) are in normal mode, reset if required

Check and ensure exhaust fans are in working condition.

Close the HT VCB of required transformer by pressing the ON push button on the respective VCB

Observe the nosie level of Transformer for normal working condition. Check for any abnormal noise from Transformer, if found  switch OFF  the Transformer by following switching off procedure

Close the respective LT ACB on the Main LT panel by pressing ON push button

Record HT and LT parameters like Voltage, current, Transformer Winding Temperature etc.

Switching "OFF" of Transformer

Trip the respective LT ACB  in the Main LT panel by pressing the OFF push button

Trip the respective HT VCB  in the HT breaker panel by pressing the OFF push button

Ensure the VCB is in open through "OPEN" indicator installed in the HT Breaker panel and measurement of voltage on LT side.
